We were absolutely thrilled to secure a place in this year’s ballot for charity places in the 2016 London Marathon, and equally thrilled with the brilliant response we had for people keen to run for us. Now that we have selected our Runner we are very proud to introduce him!
Iain Cameron will be donning his trainers and Teddington Trust running top next spring to raise awareness and funds for us and we hope that over the coming months you will help out by supporting and encouraging him where you can.
We will keep you posted with training updates and details of his fundraising page when available, but in the mean time please join us in saying “hello – welcome to Team Ted and best of luck with training, we will all be routing for you x ”
See below a little about the man himself:
“I am 37 years old and have been married to Kim for 9 years & we have a four year old daughter. I am a Police Sergeant & have been a serving police officer in Kent since 2000. I heard about the Teddington Trust as a result of Eddison’s story from Kingsnorth Church of England primary school. I have run half marathons/10 milers & 10 k’s before but never a full marathon. I have had a long term ambition to run the London Marathon and when the opportunity came to do it for such an amazing charity, it seemed like the perfect time. I will be training hard throughout the winter and am aiming to complete the Marathon in under 4 hours.”
